They are doing maintenance on the trail so I have heard that it is going to be closed during the summer of 2010. I ran into a family who came here from Nebraska just to hike, but instead enjoyed a fun day at the Glenwood Caverns, which I highly recommend! With an upper and lower lake. It is steep, and takes about 2 1/2 hours to hike up, but I did it easily with a 2 week old baby. On the hike down however, I got down in about 20 minutes.
