JETTING OUT OF ASPEN
Jet service to Aspen, with the BAe-146, will cease on the United Express link between Aspen and Denver for at least April and May next year. What will replace the jet has yet to be determined, but for at least two months next spring, only the Dash-8 turboprop will be in use.

COOPER ST. BAR: NO MORE?
The Cooper Street Bar and Restaurant is under contract to a group of Aspen investors who plan to raze the building and replace it with retail shops and condominiums. The bar and restaurant will remain open this season and next summer before closing for good, with the deal expected to close in the middle of next year.

WATCH OUT FOR DEER
The Colorado Dept. of Transportation warns drivers to be ware that deer are moving to lower elevations. CDOT has installed two variable message signs on U.S. 550 between Montrose and Ouray; CDOT has reduced the speed limit on Colo. 13 between Rifle and Meeker at night and on U.S. 40 east of Craig, CDOT has installed reflectors that redirect light from headlights to the side of the road.
