Rocky Mountain Views and Cave Tours

Glenwood Caverns in Glenwood Springs is a fabulous destination, and getting there is half the fun! Climb into a European-style gondola and take a seven-minute 4,300-foot-long tram ride to the top of Iron Mountain. The Rocky Mountain views are spectacular – bring the camera! The ride will be a hit with the entire family!
At the top of the mountain, there are activities for everybody. Make sure to take the Cave Tour – the caves were rated as one of the Top Ten Caves in the U.S. by USA Today. The guided walking tour lasts about one hour. Your guide will show you the amazing gigantic rooms, tell you about the cave’s history and geology, and point out rock formations such as stalactites and stalagmites. For an interactive activity, take the kids to Discovery Rock where they will learn to pan for gemstones. Toddlers will have fun playing in the fossil dig sandbox.
The Exclamation Point Restaurant and Bar is a great destination or a place to relax after the Cave Tour. Stay cozy in the cold weather and enjoy the beautiful views at a table overlooking the Rocky Mountains. The restaurant is open for lunch and dinner and even has a kid’s menu.
Tickets for the Iron Mountain Tram are $10 for Adults, $9 for Seniors (65 and over), and $7 for Children (3-12). Tickets for the Iron Mountain Tram and the Cave Tour are $18 for Adults, $16 for Seniors, and $13 for Children.
