Former “Miami Vice” and “Nash Bridges” star Don Johnson’s multimillion dollar 17-acre Woody Creek ranch could be on the market after a lender took steps to sell the property to pay off a $10.6 million note, the Aspen Daily News reported.
D.E. Shaw Laminar Lending Inc. filed a motion March 16 in Pitkin County District
Court seeking permission for the sale, which Johnson’s publicist, Elliott Mintz, said will be withdrawn.
Mintz told the Daily the filing “has been remedied.” The New York-based lending company in its two-page motion, which was made public Wednesday, says “defaults have occurred under the deed of trust, including … the failure to timely make payments as required under the deed of trust.” The note was taken out in August 2004, about four months before an attorney announced creditors listed on Johnson’s bankruptcy petitions had been paid off.
