This weekend celebrates Earth Day around the country with lots of different initiatives going on in an attempt to bring awareness to communities about the things we can do to help our environment.

The City of Glenwood Springs Spring Clean up is well under way with Zone 1 already done and Zone 2 in the process of being picked up. But if you live in the other Zpones then there is still some time to get cleaned out!

This coming week will see Zone 3, 4, and 5 cleaned up and residential customers are encouraged to participate. So this weekend might just be the perfect time to spring clean the garage and around the house and get rid of some junk. Zone 1: DONE

Zone 2: All that area south of the Colorado River, West of Grand Ave and Glen Ave., and east of the Roaring Fork River. April 20, 21, 24

Zone 3:All that area south of 13^th St, East of Grand Ave., and Glen Ave. April 25, 26th

Zone 4: All that area south of the Colorado river, West of the Roaring Fork River

Zone5: All that area north of the Colorado River.
