I stayed here last weekend in one of their cabins and will stay somewhere else next time I am in Glenwood Springs. I found the resort to be pretty unappealing – lots of gravel, RVs, rafting pole-barn type stuff all around. I was expecting a more of a resort experience… and got a campground one. I found them on the Internet and it looked like a nice place to stay but reality didn’ t live up to the PR… I should have read the reviews. Glenwood was fun though – like the tram, hot springs, history museum, restaurants and shopping.

Think twice about booking this place if you think your plans will change within a month of booking. Hidden in the print is that there are no refunds inside 30 days. You do not just lose your deposit, you lose 100% of your stay.

CAMPER BEWARE!!!!!!!!!!!!! I didn’t even get to the campground before I was put off by the owner. When I made reservations the very polite lady on the phone told me that there would be no cancellation fee from 14 days prior to our visit. Unfortunately we could not make our trip, and it was three months prior to planned reservatiion date. When I called to cancel the owner stated that there would be a $10.00 cancellation fee. After a brief but pultonic exchange the man stated “Okay I won’t charge you anything if you promise never to come here!!!”
NO PROBLEM BUDDY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just returned from this campground. PR inacurate. NO grass, no shade , rocks, no fires on upper level, a lot of dust!! Inability to select campsite- no refunds. Error in date to leave- made a big deal about adding a day during week. Personel rude. Attempted to find another campsite – none avail. in Valley. June 30th , 2008. DON’T RECOMMEND!!

Very disappointing stay. No shade, very dusty and the campsites were not very well kept up. The entire place needed some serious upkeep, especially the weeds. No grass, lots of rocks and I did not appreciate having to look out of my campsite and see two big yellow buses. At $50/night I expected much more. We will not come back. Take a look at Tiger Run RV Resort at $60/night in Breckenridge to understand how a resort at that price should look. Thanks but no thanks.

Horrible service and cramped sites. The guy next to us said they stayed there a couple of years ago and that the sites weren’t as close together. The management/owners are in it for the money and aren’t very nice to deal with in regards to their staff canceling my family’s entire booking not just the one member of the family’s site. They also misguided us to the wrong sites where we found someone else already camping. We won’t be back to stay.

We arrived at the campgrounds very late Friday night and our first impression was claustraphobic – we have a very small pop-up camper and it took a number of attempts to manouvere into our site. Saturday morning at about 4 a.m I was awoken by what sounded like a train … and then again…and again…and again. I think within 2 hours 4 trains had gone past and each train hooted, had squeaky brakes, and shook the camper. Saturday morning we finally got a look at where we were and were appalled to find we were practically camped on a railway line! My husband went to try and get another campsite and was generously offered a cabin – for the difference between what we paid for the campsite and cabin rental i.e. the full cost of a cabin. We decided to find somewhere else and discovered the promised WiFi (accesible from every campsite) was non-existent. I’m an online student and it’s essential I have an internet access which was one of the reasons we booked this campground.
We eventually checked out early Saturday afternoon – after three more trains had screeched past. We also discovered the refund policy which was never disclosed to us when booking i.e. no refunds. Ever. The same applied for our prebooked rafting trip.
I am not a snob camper but this was the worst campsite I have ever been too.
