I stayed here last weekend in one of their cabins and will stay somewhere else next time I am in Glenwood Springs. I found the resort to be pretty unappealing - lots of gravel, RVs, rafting pole-barn type stuff all around. I was expecting a more of a resort experience… and got a campground one. I found them on the Internet and it looked like a nice place to stay but reality didn’ t live up to the PR… I should have read the reviews. Glenwood was fun though - like the tram, hot springs, history museum, restaurants and shopping.

Think twice about booking this place if you think your plans will change within a month of booking. Hidden in the print is that there are no refunds inside 30 days. You do not just lose your deposit, you lose 100% of your stay.

CAMPER BEWARE!!!!!!!!!!!!! I didn’t even get to the campground before I was put off by the owner. When I made reservations the very polite lady on the phone told me that there would be no cancellation fee from 14 days prior to our visit. Unfortunately we could not make our trip, and it was three months prior to planned reservatiion date. When I called to cancel the owner stated that there would be a $10.00 cancellation fee. After a brief but pultonic exchange the man stated “Okay I won’t charge you anything if you promise never to come here!!!”
NO PROBLEM BUDDY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just returned from this campground. PR inacurate. NO grass, no shade , rocks, no fires on upper level, a lot of dust!! Inability to select campsite- no refunds. Error in date to leave- made a big deal about adding a day during week. Personel rude. Attempted to find another campsite - none avail. in Valley. June 30th , 2008. DON’T RECOMMEND!!
