The Hotel Denver is a historic hotel that is the most centrally located hotel in Glenwood Springs. In the heart of downtown Glenwood, all attractions are within easy walking distance including the dowtown core restaurants, shops, night spots and parks. The Glenwood Canyon Brewpub is located within the hotel, which is a great bonus. Try ordering a beer in the brewpub and then drinking it in the Hotel Denver lobby sitting are.
Another bonus: the Amtrak Station, is located just across the street. They have a nice train museum there.

Directions: To locate the Hotel Denver from I70 exit 116: Turn right at the first stoplight onto 6th Street. Turn right at the next stoplight onto Grand Avenue (this is a bridge which you will be crossing over). Turn left at the next stoplight, onto 8th Street. Drive one block to Cooper Avenue. Turn left (north) and drive one block to 7th Street. The Hotel Denver is to your right at 402 7th Street. You may unload your luggage at the front door, then proceed to parking in a large lot on Blake Street, just southeast of the Hotel Denver.

The Brew pub inside the hotel serves the best mash and stew this side of Ireland. It was very good. My mother and father in law shared a dish as the portions were so large.

This hotel is very comfortable and the staff is really friendly. Even Mom (who is quite particular) found the rooms nice, clean and modern. Reasonable rates for downtown and within walking distance of lots of merchants and restaurants! The hot springs pool is close by too.
