The Frontier Historical Society preserves the pieces of Glenwood Springs’ past.
The Frontier Historical Society Museum collects and exhibit artifacts and materials relating to the history of Glenwood Springs and Garfield county, Colorado. It is located downtown and is a great place to spend an hour or two.
Museum Hours:
- May through September, Monday - Saturday 11:00 - 4:00.
- October through April, Monday and Thursday - Saturday 1:00 - 4:00.
- Admission is $3 for adults, $2 for seniors and members and children under 12 are free.
Services offered through the museum include:
- Guided tours of the museum for schools and groups of all ages.
- Guided group walking tours of historic downtown Glenwood Springs.
- Extensive archival collection available for historical, genealogical and educational research.
- Photographic collection for research with copies available for purchase.
- Slide shows and historical presentations.
- “Explore History!” trunk programs for elementary schools.
