RFTA Buses may get Wi-Fi (Wireless Internet)
AmyT | 7 March 2007
The Roaring Fork Transportation Authority (RFTA) has proposed to include high-speed wireless Internet service (Wi-Fi) on their buses. The proposed Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) system would be great for valley residents and also function as a commuter aided dispatch and provide GPS location of buses. It also has the ability to provide passengers with real time information. With sufficient funding the system could be fully functional by 2017, however the Wi-Fi could be implemented in the next five years. Visit RFTA for bus schedules and other related information.
