Atmosphere - A French Bistro downtown

Atmosphere A French Bistro located downtown. They have a cozy little bar and a lunch menu that is affordable and tasty. This is a favorite restaurant for a change of pace.

Serving a delicious variety of sandwiches, salads, pasta, and main courses, including seafood, Roasted Duck, Filet Mignon and much more.
A very quaint relaxing atmoshere, with nice music and wonderful choice of wine. And of course, Expresso.

Another nice feature at Atmosphere is window seating, and a couple tables out on the sidewalk. For those people who like to people-watch.
Try their lunch menu.

Peppinos Pizza

Peppinos Pizza
My rating: 5 out of 5

Peppinos Pizza has been a Carbondale favorite for over 20 years. They feature both New York thin crust style pizza and giant Sicilian slabs of various combinations. There’s always something interesting under the glass - pieces of barbecued chicken pizza, perhaps, or a Hawaiin feast with almond slivers, ham, and pineapple. There’s no telling what you’ll find, but it’s okay to be brave. Calzones, sausage rolls, freshly baked ranch-style rolls, pieces of roasted garlic - it’s all good. Their menu also includes a variety of subs, both cold and hot. Try the meatball parmesan or the turkey sub. Wash it all down with a fountain drink or sample one of the microbrews on tap. Peppinos will keep you comin’ back for more.

Pros: Excellent food, fresh ingredients
Cons: Sometimes busy enough that the wait is long.

Are you looking for a home-cooked lunch during the work week?  Short on time and on the go?  Stop by the corner of 8th and Colorado and visit Shane at The Stock Pot he can help.  Dont let the hot dog stand fool you, his Crab Bisque is to die for, his Chicago Dog is unparallelled in the area.  Mushroom and Artichoke sauce with Grilled Chicken over Fettuccini more your style? Shane can oblige.  He has a rotating menu but you are sure to find that perfect lunch item.  Sometimes I can hardly wait to get it back to the office to start eating.  Rain or shine, youc an always stop by for a quick lunch and a smile.

No Substitute For Local Grown Food

Aspen chef, Ryan Hardy likes to make all his food from scratch, even the french fries. Why? because as he recently said, “There’s no preservative in the world that can substitute for good flavor.” Hardy has gone to such extremes as buying a grass-fed Angus cow from a Carbondale cattleman, created a relationship with a rabbit farmer in Delta, and has been on a tasting tour of Colorado wine growers. When we are being encouraged to eat locally the Little Nell offers an option to savour locally grown food.
