Peppinos Pizza has been a Carbondale favorite for over 20 years. They feature both New York thin crust style pizza and giant Sicilian slabs of various combinations. There’s always something interesting under the glass – pieces of barbecued chicken pizza, perhaps, or a Hawaiin feast with almond slivers, ham, and pineapple. There’s no telling what you’ll find, but it’s okay to be brave. Calzones, sausage rolls, freshly baked ranch-style rolls, pieces of roasted garlic – it’s all good. Their menu also includes a variety of subs, both cold and hot. Try the meatball parmesan or the turkey sub. Wash it all down with a fountain drink or sample one of the microbrews on tap. Peppinos will keep you comin’ back for more.
