The Yampa Vapor Caves are underground caves formed from natural geothermal steam bathts. These naturally formed caves were first discovered by the Ute Indians and recognized for their healing properties. In fact, Yampah meant “big medicine” to the Native Americans.
The hot springs and mineral caves in Glenwood Springs are not only a prime attraction to tourists today, but were a main reason for the settlement of this city.
Glenwood Springs Yampa Vapor Caves and Spa is a recommended stop! Even if you don’t feel like getting a massage or other spa treatment, you can spend some time relaxing in the cave.

A new Yoga studio opened in downtown. It is a brilliant space, very open with a cosmopolitan air as the Grand Avenue traffic rolls by.This new studio is a wonderful addition to downtown Glenwood. It has the life and vibrancy of a city with the balancing of wellness. There are small rooms prepared for massage, wellness consultation and a variety of spa treatments. They offer Pilates, meditation, tai chi, and several styles of yoga. I attended the Beginning Aunusara Yoga taught by Nova Sprick at 6pm on Mondays and this class is incredible! I felt strong, light, and completely refreshed. I highly recommend everyone to check out this place. The address for The Glenwood Center for Well Being is 809 Grand Ave.(The old Glenwood Music location).Phone Number 970-928-0445. Email address centerforwellbeing@msn.com Classes are only $8. Try one!
